Tesis doctoral de Stephen John Keady
By examining the works, both written and filmed, i seek to show that: there is an identifiable working class in england, with roots which go back to its creation at the time of the industrial revolution; also, that this class has its own culture which is different from and frequently opposed to the dominant culture of the society in which the members of this class live, and that the work which they perform is an important part of this culture. Also, that the ideology of the working class is a defining factor in the culture, and is again different from the dominant ideology to which they are subjected.
