In view of the growing complexity of the current business environment in peru, the companies are intensively promoting more rigorous individual and team decisions, on the premise that human beings jointly achieve a higher rationality level. a series of flaws in the way we think when making decisions have been identified. Some of these flaws, like heuristic for clarity, are wrong sensorial conceptions. Others have the form of biases and others simply appear as irrational anomalies of our thinking. What makes all these traps so dangerous is their invisibility. Because they are assembled in our thinking process, we fail to acknowledge them, even when we flagrantly fall into them. considering that the companies have assumed decision making as a process at several levels, it is ever more evident that the practice and integration of decision making of managers and teams has surpassed the capacity to investigate; what is more difficult is how the decision making process is embedded in the mind of those who decide and in the organization. for this reason we considered for this investigation an approach based on analysing decision making according to the level of risk assumed and the level of dependency of those who decide, being the most important objectives of the investigation to identify the differences in perception and the biases in the process of decision making in managers and managerial teams in lima, peru . For this purpose it was necessary to study in depth a series of theoretical concepts and specialized investigations. in the literature revised we have found elements on decision making, both individually as well as by teams. The decisions without risk, under uncertainty and risky are within the individual decision making. Associated to the joint decisions we have the theory of rationality at stake, the nash theory of bargaining and the individual and group syndromes. The studies we found analyze the interrelationship of these elements in a specific manner, but do not go jointly into the topic in any depth neither under an approach that may allow the observation of predominant perceptions, or psychological and sociological biases nor the differences between demographic and entrepreneurial factors. people act under the influence of emotions, manias and their social environment, which are manifested through certain biases that significantly affect their behaviour. The anchorage, excessive confidence, sunk cost and confirmation bias are the main psychological biases that influence individual decision making. On the other hand, the sociological biases that affect team decision making are group thinking, commitment climbing and group polarization. the results allowed the identification of differences in decision making from managers and managerial teams, mainly influenced by factors such as the sector, size, type of company and growth of the company. Likewise, we detected and analyzed differences related with the perception of the information, efficacy, attitude towards risk (temper), confidence and culture. Besides we contribute with findings on the nature and incidence of biases in different economic aspects. in general , given the current situation in peru, adequate conditions appear to evaluate, from a more homogeneous sector based in results and opportunities, the behaviour of those who make the decisions in front of the influence of their own thinking processes and towards the social influence of their peers in the team decision.
